Waitangi, Maori for “dancing water” is a working museum and the only example of a 19th century gaff rigged cutter sailing in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Waitangi is used in community activities and sail in some of the major vintage and gaffer regattas in Australian, it has taken part in 1995 Gaff Riggers Regatta in Sydney and the third Australian Wooden boat festival in Hobart.

Waitangi is currently the pride of Melbourne & Australia‘s classic yacht fleet, and has a very active sailing program from her home port of Williamstown Melbourne, Victoria.
